Climate Week is a supercharged national occasion that offers an annual renewal of our ambition and confidence to combat climate change. It is for everyone wanting to do their bit to protect our planet and create a secure future.
16-05-2010, 12:00 - 16:00 Wildlife Awareness day Sunday 16th May
East Ayrshire Council are running a Wildlife Awareness event at the Dean Castle 12-4pm on Sunday 16th May. Heal the Earth have a stall in front of the castle. You can buy some of our organic veg or excess seedlings. Children can design cotton bags with their own environmental slogan and adorn a tree with their ideas.
We're also running tours down to the Community Garden throughout the afternoon, leaving from the castle. This is your chance to see our ground-breaking food project at 1st hand and how to become involved. Tea and home baking will be served for a donation in the garden.

Heal the Earth's Annual General Meeting is on March 25th at 7pm in the cabin on Glebe Road, Kilmarnock. All are welcome to attend.
07-03-2010, 12:00 - 16:00 Eco-Fair at Dean Castle
Heal the Earth Ayrshire will have a stall at the Eco-Fair in the courtyard at the Dean Castle on Sunday 7th March 12-4pm. We'll be running tours on the hour throughout the day to our community garden. Maximum of 12 per tour. Last tour 3pm. Members will be available on the stall to answer questions and you can get more information about growing your own veg. You can also ask about getting a raised bed in the community garden. 27-02-2010, 11:00 - 14:00 Giving away Cotton Bags at Holland and Barratt
50 Cotton bags with plastic-free slogans devised by competition winners from local schools will be given away free at Holland and Barratt's Kilmarnock store on Saturday 27th Feb. Heal the Earth aplauds Holland and Barratt for recently achieved 100% plastic bag free status nationally.
The 3 winning designs were hand printed onto bags by Heal the Earth members. It is with thanks to East Ayrshire council who supported and funded the plastic bag free campaign in 2009, that we can run this event.
